Cleanliness and Sick Policy - ASK ABOUT OUR COVID 19 POLICY
We take the well-being of your child very seriously and work hard to provide an environment that is as healthy as possible. We are committed to keeping our home and the children in it as clean as possible, in order to help minimize and/or prevent the spread of germs.
Hand Washing
Hand washing is the single most effective practice in preventing the spread of germs. We wash our hands many times throughout the day, as well as the children's hands before and/or after engaging in a thorough list of activities.

Cleaning and Disinfecting
My home is kept clean and disinfected at all times. We thoroughly clean surfaces that children come in close contact with using soap and water, or Lysol, etc. The lunch tables are cleaned between each use, and the diaper changing tables are cleaned and disinfected between each diaper change. Toys are cleaned and disinfected often, and water-play tables are cleaned and disinfected before being filled with water and carefully supervised when in use.

Sick Policy
For the protection of all children in my care as well as the health of your own child, outlined is the new sick policy, which goes into effect immediately. In order to protect the group as a whole, I ask that parents assist me by keeping sick children at home.
In the event your child becomes sick while at daycare and unable to play outdoors, and/or unable to participate in regular daily activities, you will be notified to promptly pick your child up.
When a child may not attend daycare!
Since your child MUST be fever free before returning to daycare, please do not send any fever-reducing medications with them; I cannot administer it to them.
Common Cold Policy
Also, please keep in mind, when we are caring for your sick child, the ability to provide high quality care to all of the other children is jeopardized.
PLEASE BE COURTEOUS OF ALL CHILDREN IN PROGRAM, AND REFRAIN FROM BRINGING AN ILL CHILD TO US UNTIL YOUR CHILDS DOCTOR HAS APPROVED THEM TO RETURN.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Common Cold Policy
- Children suffering from a common cold will be assessed on an individual basis.
- Factors of consideration include the developmental level of your child in congruence with my ability to limit the spread of germs.
- The younger your child, the more difficult it is to keep the spread of germs down. For example: hand to face contact, mouthing of toys, uncontrolled nasal discharge, uncovered sneezing and coughing etc.
- The child should also be well enough to actively participate throughout the day.
